Guess what...you can save a bunch of cash by buying an alternate oil filter for your bike instead of paying out your a** for a stock unit. That's right...drop on down to your local autoparts store and pick up one of these filters. I have reposted a complete x-reference courtesy of FZ1inNH on fz1-forum.com. I'm reposting it because sites go down all the time and they did loose their server a few years ago so here's another copy just in case ;)

These Oil Filters
have 20 x 1.5mm threads,
14 psi by-pass valve,
anti-drain back valve,
2.3" O.D. gasket
2.5" to 3.5" long.
If you have the room, I recommend the longer filters.
